The original Prince of Wales Chapter was consecrated in
1865 when the Prince of Wales Lodge was just two years old.
It was established by companions from the Chapter of
Harmony whose original idea had been to transfer that
Chapter from the Yarborough Lodge to the Prince of Wales
Lodge. However it turned out that sufficient support was
not forthcoming, and in 1866 it was necessary for the
Chapter to merge with the Chapter of Harmony. The warrant
was surrendered.
In May 1981 the Prince of Wales Lodge proposed that a Royal
Arch Chapter be reformed. The Chapter was consecrated on
the 30th September 1982 at the Masonic Temple.
